Outfit of the day

Hi all,

I hope you are all well this morning. Just a quick post to show you what I was wearing for a shopping trip out with my mum. The sales are going to be the death of me!

wow! I apologise for the mess.

Okay, so I am wearing a cream Jacquard style top from New Look. Which i purchased in the January Sales for a bargain £7! I believe it was knocked down from £14.00 as everything in the New look sale was at least half price.
I've teamed this with my favourite pair of Bench Jeans. In a blue denim. I have had these jeans for years but I don't think they cost me more than £20.00 as I bought them at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. If you ever get the chance to go here you definitely should, as it is many designer shops at discount prices. I will add the link to their website in the comment box.
Finally, my shoes are a pair of flat ankle boots in brown from Sainsbury's which cost me £25.00 early in the Autumn. These are very comfortable shoes and go with pretty much anything.

Infront of the Christmas Tree, how lovely!

As for my hair, these were last nights curls, which I styled with the Remington Pearl Curling Wand from Superdrug. This is by far the best wand as the curls stay in for literally forever!

Lastly I add my favourite coat and bag, and I'm good to go.

The coat is this one from New Look  and my bag is another purchase from Sainsburys for £14.00 (but that was with 25% off).

I apologise for the photo quality, as I am still new to all this. But they say, practice makes perfect.

What do you all think? How would you dress for a shopping trip?

Speak to you all soon, Emily.

But anyway, I thought I would post something very small to let you know that I am still about and hope to start blogging more often.

So here goes....

New job clothes haul

Hi all,

So on Monday I started a new job in a career I really think I could sink my teeth into; caravan sales.  I know this may sound boring but trust me it really isn't, and the amount of money within this industry is just an insane amount! Some people are willing to spend near on £200,000 for a holiday home which you  aren't allowed to live in. But honestly they are beautiful and some are like mini houses and bungalows with all the mod cons you could imagine.

Anyway, this is my first proper job after finishing uni and is a job where I have to wear my own clothes and haven't been given a putrid coloured uniform- brilliant!! Therefore prior to my first day I went on a shopping spree and thought I'd share with you the goodies that I purchased.

Firstly, I bought two blazers as I believe they are a staple item when it comes to work wear. The one on the left is a plain black blazer and the right has a fancy White edging.  So far I have worn the black blazer every day as its so comfortable and versatile, and the only downside that I have found is that it doesn't have any pockets... Not ideal.  The second came from an eBay concession and although It is slightly too small for me I still love it and definitely I'll will wear it soon enough.

Another staple in the work wardrobe are definitely some flattering dresses (yay lucky me!). On the left in the picture below is a fitted black and grey shift dress which is definitely gorgeous on me as well as upon the hanger. My problem is that I'm not only one size in clothes (I'm sure like most women), I vary between a 10-12 normally but then again may not fit either size, so I found with this H&M dress that it was more comfortable to go for the larger size (12)  as it gave more give and yet didn't look ill fitting. On the other hand, the plain black dress I  originally bought in a size 12 without trying on, because It was too busy at the changing rooms, and have found that I will need to go back for a smaller size (result!). The main bonus of the Primark dress is that it's got included pockets which means I won't need to wear a jacket with it in the heat of summer.

Finally here is a pencil skirt I simply fell in love with, that I hope after a few weeks I'll be brave enough to be able to wear it to work. I hope you agree about how gorgeous it is, it is made from a velvet material with the black pattern standing out from the red.   The only problem is I need to go find some other items of clothing to go with this skirt; such a shame!

I would really appreciate it if some of you guys could suggest some chic and smart work wear you suggest I wear during my successful future?

Ta ta for now.

Birthday night out outfit

My 22nd Birthday;

Hi all,

So as many of you are aware I have just turned 22, now this is the age where things get serious.
I'm no longer a teenager, i'm no longer at university, but instead i'm now classed as a fully fledged adult who has to grasp everything before I get left behind and turn into a boring 30 year old.

And grasp everything is certainly what I did on my birthday night out.

So, on the Friday evening me and my friends got dolled up to the nines and headed out for a night filled with cocktails and laughter. It took me a while to choose the perfect outfit for the evening but as you can see from the photo below I went full on sparkle (i'm definitely no wallflower!). I opted for a pink sparkly boob tube crop top with detachable straps which I had purchased from the New Look sale for an amazing £9!!!! I partnered this with the coral bodycon from an eBay concession brand. Finally I added my old faithful black New Look Heels, £19.99, to the outfit and wahlah (is that even a word?!) I was complete.
I do however apologise for the photo quality but I hope it gives you a reasonable idea of what I wore.

We spent the majority of the evening in a bar called Vodka Revolution in Bournemouth town centre and I truly believe I had one of the best nights ever simply in this chilled out cocktail bar gossiping away with my two best friends. We purchased pitcher, after cocktail, after pitcher after teapot in here and I loved it. If you ever get the chance to go here you definitely have to go!! I recommend the 'Vanilla and Apple mojito' (in a teapot!), and also the 'Pornstar Martini'. Secondly, because it was my birthday I got 3 free shots in the flavours of 'Birthday Cake', 'Bakewell Tart' and 'Strawberries and Cream' -delicious and lucky me!
Hopefully i'll get the chance to blog properly about this bar, as it truly is lovely, but for now I hope you enjoy the photos of my birthday night out because I certainly did.

P.s, my friends are both gorgeous are they not?
Ta ta for now x
